I highly recommend Schwebel, Goetz, and Sieben should you need representation in a personal injury situation. While at a stop sign, I was rear-ended by a small sedan at 30+ mph. The force caused my 6000 lb truck to be forcefully moved into the intersection, where, thankfully, there were no pedestrians or other vehicles. Significant damage occurred to my car when the bed was forced into the cab, resulting in very high acceleration forces on my body. I instantly knew I had injuries and went to the hospital via ambulance. I contacted Schwebel the week after the accident and was introduced to Attorney Kojo Addo within hours. Kojo spent the next few days getting to know me and understanding the specifics of the accident and my injuries. Kojo advised me that the expected 12-24 months it takes for a personal injury case to come together, when the medical treatment plan can take months to develop, as diagnostic testing is completed. Kojo followed all of my rehabilitation, minor surgery, and physical therapy procedures over the next year. As he advised, it was essential to give the proper amount of time to evaluate if the procedures helped or not. In my case, some procedures helped heal my injuries, but others had no effect and left me with ongoing symptoms which were key facts in the settlement. I found Kojo and his paralegal team, Melissa Barstow and Michelle Gronau, to be very easy to communicate with and always available whenever I needed to talk. At several points during the process, when settlement decisions were near-term, Kojo gave me excellent advice on when NOT TO SETTLE. Schwebel and Kojo ended up getting me a higher $ settlement as a direct result of these recommendations. The best thing I did was to listen to their advice and not chase the faster, smaller dollar amounts offered by the at-fault driver’s insurance. After my first attorney tried to settle my case for $10,000 ; my second attorney who retired referred me to Aaron . I was completely hopeless. The first time I met with Aaron he came to my home as my injuries limited my mobility. Not only did I experience life-changing physical injuries I’ve had to learning how to navigate my brain injury. I felt Aaron took the time to listen with his his heart ❤️ to everything that I was going through. Once he left my home I was in constant contact with Aaron. I was in a terrible car accident 3 years ago. The first call I made was to Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben & left a message. I got a call back 10 minutes later. I met with Gene there investigator. He connected me with Duncan McIntyre. Duncan did an AMAZING job taking care of me through a major neck surgery that change the rest of my life. He contacted the doctors and made sure that any medical bills not covered by my insurance went to him. It took 3 years but he fought for a settlement that will help me for the rest of my life. This was our first time using a lawyer for anything. I was hit by a truck while riding my bicycle! My bike was totally destroyed and I suffered internal injuries and 8 broken ribs! This was my first time using a lawyer for anything other than drawing up a will. I was plowed into by a young man who was speeding and ran a red light. Car was totaled and an ambulance took me to the emergency room a bloody mess.
